Terms of service

These terms govern use of this website and purchases made through it. By using the site or placing an order you agree to them. Nothing here limits rights you can't waive under state or federal law.
1. Who we are
Clocked Out PC, a small owner-operated PC building business based in La Crosse, Wisconsin. Contact: clockedoutpc@gmail.com.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 (or the age of majority where you live) and able to form a binding contract to purchase.
3. Product information
We work hard to keep listings accurate. Product photos show the actual configuration sold unless a listing states otherwise. Specifications may be updated between production runs; the configuration recorded on your order is what we build and ship. Minor cosmetic variation in cases or components can occur within the Substitution Policy.
4. Product conditions
We sell new build-to-order systems, new ready-to-ship systems, and clearly labeled pre-owned or refurbished systems. The condition stated on the listing is part of the product description. Pre-owned systems are tested before sale and described honestly, including known cosmetic wear.
5. Performance figures
Benchmarks and FPS figures are measurements from our bench on the stated configuration; your results will vary with settings, drivers, titles and updates. We don't publish numbers we didn't measure.
6. Pricing and errors
Prices are in USD. We may correct errors (including pricing errors) on the site; if we cancel an order due to a genuine listing error you receive a full immediate refund.
7. Payment and fraud prevention
Payment is processed by Shopify Checkout at the time of order; we never see or store card numbers. We may verify or decline orders flagged for fraud or mismatched addresses; if we decline your order you get your money back immediately.
8. Order acceptance
Your order is an offer to purchase; it's accepted when payment is captured and you receive the confirmation email.
9. Custom and build-to-order purchases
Build times shown are good-faith estimates, not guaranteed dates; we update you if an estimate slips materially. Component substitutions follow the Substitution Policy — equal-or-better only, always disclosed, never silent.
10. Shipping and risk
Per the Shipping Policy — insured, signature required. Risk of loss passes on delivery. Ship-to address accuracy is your responsibility; tell us about errors before shipment.
11. Inspection
Inspect your system on arrival and report shipping damage or dead-on-arrival symptoms within 48 hours so we can pursue carrier insurance.
12. Returns and warranty
Per the Return & Cancellation Policy and Warranty Policy, which are part of these terms. Warranty coverage is limited as described there; component manufacturer warranties are separate and are administered by their manufacturers — we assist but cannot guarantee a manufacturer's decision.
13. Customer modifications
Opening the case for upgrades or cleaning does not void the warranty; damage caused by a modification isn't covered.
14. Software and operating systems
Windows is included only when the listing or your configuration says so, and is activated only when a license is included and stated. Software is licensed by its publishers under their terms, not sold by us.
15. Data
Back up your data. We are not responsible for data loss on systems sent in for service; service may involve OS reinstalls.
16. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the product, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages (lost profits, lost data, downtime). Some states don't allow these limits; they apply only where lawful.
17. Acceptable use of the site
No scraping for resale, no attempting to breach the store's security, no fraudulent orders.
18. Intellectual property
Content (text, photos of our builds, branding) belongs to Clocked Out PC; don't reuse it commercially without permission. Component brand names belong to their manufacturers; we are an independent builder, not authorized or sponsored by them.
19. Third-party links
Links to marketplaces (Facebook, Jawa) and other third-party sites are provided for verification and convenience; their content and terms are theirs.
20. Chargebacks
Contact us before disputing a charge — we respond to every issue with documentation and we resolve legitimate problems quickly.
21. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wisconsin; venue for disputes is the courts of La Crosse County, Wisconsin, except where consumer law provides otherwise.
22. Changes
We may update these terms; the "Last updated" date changes when we do. Orders are governed by the terms in effect when placed.
