Questions

Before you ask

Are your PCs new or pre-owned?

Both, and it's always labeled. Build-to-order systems use new, retail-boxed components with their full manufacturer warranties. Some ready-to-ship systems are pre-owned or refurbished — when they are, the condition is shown on the product card and product page and described plainly in the listing.

What's the difference between Ready to Ship and Built to Order?

Ready-to-ship systems are already assembled and tested — they leave within a couple of business days. Build-to-order systems are assembled after you order, with parts bought for your build specifically; the current build time is shown on the product page, in your cart and at checkout.

Can I request a custom configuration?

Yes. Configure upgrades right on a product page, or use the custom build request form to describe your budget, games and targets — you'll get a parts list to approve before anything is purchased.

Is Windows included and activated?

Only when your configuration or the listing says so. Windows is an optional add-on: when included, it ships installed and activated with a legitimate license. Otherwise the system ships ready for you to install your own licensed OS.

How is every PC tested before shipping?

Hours of combined CPU, GPU and memory load, a full memory stability pass, thermal logging, and real game sessions on the titles the build is sold for. The results ship with the PC on its build sheet. If it doesn't pass, it doesn't ship.

Can I upgrade the PC later?

Yes — opening the case for upgrades like RAM or storage, or for cleaning, does not void the warranty. Damage caused during a modification isn't covered, but the rest of the coverage survives.

What warranty do I get?

One year of labor and workmanship coverage from Clocked Out PC, plus each component's own manufacturer warranty. Full terms are on the Warranty page.

How do I track my order?

Use the View your order link in your order confirmation email, or sign in at Account with the email you ordered with — Shopify emails you a 6-digit code, no password needed. A build-to-order system stays unfulfilled while it is on the bench, then flips to fulfilled with a carrier tracking number the day it ships.

What happens if the PC is damaged during shipping?

Every system ships insured and signature-required. Photograph the box, then report the damage within 48 hours of delivery — we handle the carrier insurance claim and repair or replace per the Warranty Policy.

Can I return or cancel a custom build?

You can cancel free of charge before parts are ordered. After that, the Return & Cancellation Policy explains exactly what applies at each stage.

Do you use my exact parts list?

Yes — the parts list you approve is the parts list you get. If availability ever forces a change, the Substitution Policy applies: equal or better performance, and you approve it first.

Do you accept trade-ins?

Not as a standing program, but ask — depending on the hardware it can sometimes be worked into a build. Use the contact page before ordering.

Do you offer local pickup?

Yes — free local pickup in Columbus, Ohio. Choose it at checkout and we'll arrange a time when your build is ready.

Do you ship outside the continental US?

Continental US is standard. Alaska, Hawaii or international: contact us before ordering — usually possible, always quoted first.

Can I talk to you before ordering?

Please do. The contact page reaches the person who will actually build your machine — usually within one business day.
